Objectives
General:
- To replace a human ligament with the use of spider silk (synthetic or natural).
Specific:
- Determine the structure of a ligament within the body.
- Determine a relationship between the composition of the spider silk and the composition of ligaments.
- Determine whether or not the human body will reject the silk material.
- Determine how the ligament graft would be surgically put in place.
- Distinguish between the main types of grafts.
