The type of people needed to work with would be a doctor (specifically an orthopedic surgeon), a scientist with a strong background in chemistry and biology, and someone involved in business/marketing. The content of this idea in which a doctor may be needed has to do with how the body’s joints, muscles, ligaments, and tendons work together. A scientist working in chemistry and biology would be needed because this idea deals with the chemical structure of spider dragline silk and amino acid chains within the body. As for materials, what is needed right now is dragline spider silk or a synthetic silk similar in the structure, in addition to a model of a human knee and a model of a graft. If any type of nanotechnology approach is to be incorporated, then equipment related to that aspect would be needed as well.
